The Plan

"

The Case Study House program (1945-1966) aimed to provide modern, affordable housing during the post-war building boom. These houses are now revered examples of clean design, with wood, metal, and glass seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.

Thirty-six Case Study Houses were selected as the most significant works of residential architecture, becoming icons of the mid-century modern movement. They embody a spirit of innovation and experimentation that inspires Our Case Study home. We’ll incorporate these design principles into our own unique vision for a modern, functional living space that is both timeless and forward-thinking.

Richard Neutra, Craig Ellwood, and Pierre Koenig are among the architects we most deeply admire and whose work has heavily influenced our vision for Our Case Study home. Without their groundbreaking contributions to modern residential architecture, we wouldn’t be here today, dreaming, planning, and building. We’re incredibly grateful to have their work as our guiding inspiration and we can’t wait to begin this exciting journey.

Our Case Study Design Plan

Taking cues from our favorite Case Study houses, we’ve worked hard to synthesize their most compelling design elements into a cohesive, flowing plan for Our Case Study home.

Our biggest challenge has been to interpret these classic ideas using modern materials without blowing our budget. We firmly believe that creating an iconic, mid-century modern inspired home doesn’t require a mega-million dollar budget. With that in mind, we’re excited to embark on this adventure and hope you’ll join us on this journey to build Our Case Study.
